In the current academic year, a video conference titled "The South Caucasus — New Reality and Prospects" was held on the Euromedia-24 platform.
The conference was organized by the National Research Institute of Communications (Moscow), Yerevan State University's Center for Russian Studies and the Institute for Armenian Studies.
The conference brought together the Deputy Director of the National Research Institute of Communications, V. Komleva; the Director of the YSU Center for Russian Studies, Associate Professor A. Safaryan; the Head of the Department for the Study of Armenian–Russian Relations at the YSU Institute for Armenian Studies, Professor A. Yengoyan; Professor of the YSU Chair of Political Science G. Keryan; and the Director of the Ararat Center for Strategic Studies, Doctor of Political Sciences, A. Ayvazyan.
The purpose of the event was to analyze and professionally assess key issues related to political, economic, and informational processes unfolding in the South Caucasus. Particular emphasis was placed on examining factors influencing the balance of regional power, the stability of the South Caucasus, and cooperation between the countries in the region.
The discussion addressed ongoing political transformations in the South Caucasus, the activities of external actors—including global power centers and international organizations—and models of stable relations between the countries of the region, among other topics.
