On May 20 of this year, an international scientific and practical conference titled "Russia and the World: Dialogue 2026. New Reality" was held in Moscow. The event brought together representatives of political and academic circles from the Russian Federation, Serbia, Bulgaria, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and other countries.
Armenia was represented at the conference by Associate Professor Nelly Minasyan, Head of the Department of Armenia–China and Armenia–India Relations and Strategic Cooperation at the YSU Institute for Armenian Studies. She delivered a presentation titled "Turkey's 'Soft Power' Policy in Central Asia: Ideological Foundations and Tools."
The speaker also addressed the specific features and tools of Turkey's soft power, examining the role of the Organization of Turkic States in this context.
The conference discussed a range of issues related to the South Caucasus and Central Asia within the framework of Russia's allied and partnership relations. Participants also examined infrastructure projects and the geopolitical dynamics surrounding them. Issues of regional security and stability were raised, as well as topics related to terrorism and other challenges relevant to the Russian Federation.
