The YSU Institute for Armenian Studies, in cooperation with the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, has launched a four-module course titled "The South Caucasus and Core Principles of EU Policy and Decision-Making".
The program will officially commence on April 11, with an opening ceremony inaugurated by YSU Rector, Doctor of Historical Sciences Hovhannes Hovhannisyan.
The inaugural module will be held on April 11–12 as an off-site session.
The main thematic areas of the educational program include:
the dynamics of EU–Armenia and regional relations,
EU diplomacy, decision-making mechanisms, and value system,
the influence of global, regional, and local actors in the South Caucasus.
The four-module course, scheduled for spring, summer, and autumn, will be hosted in different provinces of Armenia. The curriculum includes interactive lectures, brainstorming sessions, simulation exercises, and research-based assignments.
The program brings together senior students from Armenian universities and young professionals from the public administration and education sectors. Instruction will be provided by renowned Armenian and foreign scholars, experts, and officials working in the fields of political science, security studies, sociology, economics, international relations, and related disciplines.
The program aims to enhance participants' analytical skills and to deepen their knowledge and expertise in European integration processes, while fostering new competencies in the field.
