From August 23 to 30, 2025, Anna Mkrtchyan, Director of YSU Institute of Pharmacy, and Associate Professor Ani Dadayan of the Chair of Pharmaceutical Technology and Pharmacy Economics and Management, participated in the EXPO 2025 Osaka Kansai world exhibition in Japan. They represented the "AM-2705" project, funded by the International Science and Technology Center (ISTC).

Established in 1992 through the initiative of the European Union, Japan, and the United States, the ISTC is an intergovernmental organization dedicated to advancing science, supporting technological innovation, and fostering international scientific collaboration. As an official participant of EXPO 2025, ISTC presented 12 scientific projects focusing on disaster risk management, clean energy, healthcare, and safe societies.
The ISTC Governing Board meeting was followed by the ISTC Special Day held on August 27 as part of EXPO 2025 in Osaka. The event showcased achievements by scientists from Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan, supported by Japan as ISTC’s main funding partner.
YSU representatives presented the results of the "AM-2705" project, which aims to develop innovative solutions in the pharmaceutical field. For their outstanding contributions, they were honored with an award.
The participation of YSU Institute of Pharmacy in this high-level international platform highlights the university’s active engagement in global scientific and technological initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable development and innovation.
