The 7th Autumn School, titled "Environmental Sciences: Food Risk-Benefit Assessment - Leading EU Practices," was held in Aghveran as part of cooperation between the YSU Center for European Studies and the Center for Ecological-Noosphere Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia.
The school featured two complementary components: scientific and professional, and legal and legislative.
As part of the scientific and professional component, the Center for Ecological-Noosphere Studies presented materials on food risk-benefit assessment, food safety, the relationship between the environment and human health, as well as scientific approaches and best practices in the field.
The legal and legislative component was organized within the framework of the YSU Center for European Studies' project "Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence in European Studies: Democracy, Human Rights and Security" (DeHuRiS, 101177115). This component addressed legal and regulatory issues related to food safety and the environment, with a focus on European practices and approaches.
The autumn school featured lectures, discussions, question-and-answer sessions, group activities and practical exercises. Participants had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge, discuss current challenges in the field and exchange professional experience.
The jointly organized school brought together scientific research on environmental issues and food safety with the legal frameworks governing these areas, helping to strengthen cooperation between research and educational institutions.
