Students of the "Art Studies" master's program have organized an experimental exhibition at the National Gallery of Armenia as part of the "Fundamentals of Art Criticism" course.

This exhibition, held in this format, has been organized for the second consecutive year and aims to develop students' analytical skills, as well as to cultivate a professional approach to the interpretation of works of art and their public presentation.
The students began preparing for the exhibition in February. Each student selected a thematic direction and presented artworks related to it, accompanied by personal observations on those works. Throughout the preparation, Professor Irina Baghdamyan worked individually with each student, providing support in formulating the topic, structuring the analysis, and developing the texts.

The exhibition summarized the main goals and outcomes of the course, ensuring the students' theoretical and practical readiness. They gained fundamental knowledge of art criticism and developed skills in interpreting and analyzing works of art. At the same time, they acquired professional ethical competencies in organizing exhibitions and compiling thematic articles.
This initiative provides important experience for the students, allowing them to combine theoretical knowledge with practical activity and to work in a real exhibition environment. Events organized in this format contribute to the professional growth of students and the development of independent research thinking.
The event was attended by Mkhitar Gabrielyan, Dean of YSU Faculty of History, lecturers and students from the Chair of Art Studies.
