The Faculty of History at Yerevan State University held a ceremony in the Main Hall to give diplomas to students who finished their bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

Mkhitar Gabrielyan, Dean of the Faculty of History, wishing the graduates a successful future, stated: "This is yet another memorable ceremony, as around 200 graduates from all educational programs of the Faculty of History will enter public life—whether in scientific, educational, or cultural fields—carrying the already validated status of YSU graduate. Since 1919, being a university graduate has meant a duty and responsibility towards oneself, the country, society, cultural heritage, and identity. It is no coincidence that the contribution of university graduates is invaluable across all spheres of public, political, social, economic, and cultural life."
Dean Gabrielian added: "Dear students, first and foremost, I wish for you to always uphold and carry the values of the university, no matter where life takes you. I must emphasize that the future challenges we will face depend heavily on the efforts within social and humanitarian sciences. I ask you to leave here bearing this responsibility. I am convinced that our graduates will approach their endeavors with love, pride, and dignity."

At the event held on July 3 of this year, Pavel Avetisyan, Deputy Director of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia, also delivered a speech. Addressing the graduates, he stressed: "Dear students, today you receive not only a diploma but also a mission—to serve our people and our state. The path of a historian is not easy. It requires patience, foresight, analytical thinking, and inner sincerity. As graduates of the Faculty of History, you must be equipped not only with knowledge but also with sound judgment and be honest participants in public discourse. Many doors lie ahead of you, but never forsake a thoughtful, critical, and constructive perspective. Let your knowledge become the foundation of your thinking, the guiding principle of your civic stance and leadership. Congratulations, and I wish you strength to meet the challenges of our time."
For both the graduates and the faculty members, this special day marked the end of one chapter and the beginning of a new one.
