Sima Asatryan and Anna Edilyan, students of the Faculty of Russian Philology, received the Moscow Mayor's scholarship based on the results of the 2025–2026 winter examination session.
The award ceremony was held at the Moscow House in Yerevan as part of a meeting of the program's Board of Trustees.
This marks the second time the Russian Philology students have received this prestigious award, confirming their high academic performance, active research engagement, and involvement in the university's social and cultural life.
The candidacies of third-year student Sima Asatryan and fourth-year student Anna Edilyan were considered based on their outstanding academic achievements and participation in academic conferences, round tables, international educational programs, and summer schools.
The Board of Trustees meeting in Armenia was attended by representatives of educational and public organizations.
Welcoming remarks were delivered by Dmitry Kozhaev, Director of the Moscow House of Compatriots, and Mikhail Klishin, who wished the students continued success and productive work.
The Chair of the Board of Trustees in Armenia, Armine Tyutyunjyan, noted that, as per established tradition, 15 scholarships were allocated this academic year to students from leading Armenian universities, including Yerevan State University, the Russian-Armenian University, the Brusov State University, and other higher education institutions of the Republic of Armenia.
The Moscow Mayor's Scholarship program has been operating since 1996 and is among the priority social initiatives of the Moscow city government. The program aims to support and develop the intellectual potential of Russian-speaking youth.
