On October 24 of this year, with the aim of strengthening inter-university cooperation, YSU Faculty of Economics and Management hosted a delegation from one of Hungary’s most prestigious and well-recognized higher education institutions, the University of Szeged, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration.
The delegation included Dr. Ildikó Pusztai-Varga, Director of International Affairs at the Faculty's International Office; Dr. Benedek Nagy, Dean of the Faculty; Dr. Bertalan Pusztai, Lead Professor of the "Tourism and Catering" bachelor’s program; and Laura Mkrtchyan, a student at the University of Szeged.
The Dean of YSU Faculty of Economics and Management, Associate Professor Karlen Khachatryan, welcomed the guests, emphasizing the importance of expanding international partnerships based on mutual interests and organizing such meetings within the faculty. He presented the faculty’s achievements, priorities for developing partner relations, and opportunities for new avenues of cooperation.
During the meeting, potential avenues and prospects for bilateral collaboration were discussed, including student and faculty exchanges, joint research, and the implementation of educational and scientific programs. Both sides expressed readiness to develop a mutually beneficial and sustainable partnership aimed at enhancing the academic environment and fostering international cooperation.
Dean Karlen Khachatryan invited the foreign partners to participate in the 3rd International Conference organized by YSU Faculty of Economics and Management next fall.
The meeting was also attended by Associate Professor Grigor Hayrapetyan, Head of the Chair of Economics and International Economic Relations and Officer for International Relations.
