The FinnoWay Armenia PLUS forum was held, bringing together representatives of state institutions, the financial system, the information and telecommunications sectors, as well as retail trade. The event focused on the fundamental issues of digitalization and intersectoral cooperation, aiming to stimulate Armenia's economic development, strengthen international partnerships, and support the implementation of promising new initiatives.
Within the framework of the forum, held on November 11–12 of this year, Associate Professor, PhD in Economics Ara Karyan from the YSU Faculty of Economics and Management, delivered a presentation titled "Tokenization as Driving Force Behind Armenia's Real-Sector Development".
In his remarks, Associate Professor Karyan emphasized that the development of the real sector of the economy is possible only under conditions of technological progress and digital transformation. According to him, the integration of IT and artificial intelligence components into various economic platforms should be accompanied by the introduction of a tokenization matrix as an innovative management instrument.
He noted that tokenization shifts the economy from a three-dimensional to a six-dimensional reality, creating new opportunities and transforming business models. The conceptual objectives of business tokenization, according to the YSU scholar, have a three-dimensional nature: the creation of an innovation environment and a stimulation chain, the enhancement of productivity and managerial efficiency, and the inclusion of alternative investment resources for businesses. The tokenized business model, he stated, not only generates added value but also forms a stable and self-sustaining ecosystem that promotes innovation and strengthens economic resilience.
The FinnoWay Armenia PLUS forum once again underscored that Armenia's economic progress must be grounded in innovative solutions, digitalization, and the active involvement of the scientific and educational community.
The participation of YSU representatives in such platforms is an important contribution toward linking university research with the pathways of real economic and business development.
