The YSU Faculty of Economics and Management continues its active and consistent outreach efforts aimed at providing professional orientation for prospective students. To ensure the effective coordination of these activities, the Working Group on Applicant Outreach has been established by the dean's decree and is currently spearheading engagement with applicants.
Through the collaborative efforts of the working group, faculty members, and student organization representatives, the faculty maintains effective communication with prospective applicants. The faculty views these outreach initiatives as a long-term investment in fostering a high-quality and dynamic academic environment.
The faculty exerts considerable effort to employ diverse communication formats in guiding prospective students through their professional orientation. These initiatives are vital not only for the effective dissemination of information but also for establishing meaningful feedback loops. Such engagement allows the faculty to better understand applicants' expectations, thoroughly analyze their needs and interests, and ultimately build a more targeted and efficient communication framework.
Throughout 2025, at the initiative of the Faculty of Economics and Management and with the support of YSU Center for Admissions and Affairs with Applicants, numerous visits were organized to high schools and colleges in Yerevan and neighboring provinces. Prospective applicants were introduced to the educational and professional development opportunities offered by YSU, including the faculty's academic programs, admission details, and YSU's scientific-educational resources. The sessions also covered international cooperation and exchange programs, the distinctive features of student life, and labor market demand for the faculty's three bachelor's programs: "Economics", "Management", and "Finance".
In 2025 alone, more than two dozen faculty members conducted numerous visits to schools and colleges, reaching hundreds of students.
When designing outreach formats, the faculty prioritizes interactive and participatory engagement. This approach enables prospective students to gain a clearer understanding of their chosen fields, helping them make more informed and well-grounded career decisions.
Throughout 2025, the faculty hosted students from numerous schools, offering them the opportunity to attend lectures, explore the technical facilities of the classrooms, meet with faculty members and students, and take part in informational discussions. Now in its third consecutive year, this communication format has proven vital in building trust and ensuring a high level of effectiveness.
Beyond reciprocal visits, the Faculty launched the YSU School of Economics in the spring semester of the 2023–2024 academic year. The initiative has since successfully completed two cycles.
Unprecedented in both content and scope, the two-day program of YSU School of Economics is implemented at the initiative of the Faculty of Economics and Management with the support of the YSU Center for Admissions and Affairs with Applicants. It aims to strengthen university–school cooperation and to assist upper school students in their professional orientation. Designed specifically for 11th- and 12th-grade students, the program seeks to foster informed career choices and enhance professional awareness.
To date, more than one thousand students from over eighty schools in Yerevan and various provinces of Armenia have participated in the program. Each year, the number of participating schools and students increases steadily, attesting to the program's relevance and effectiveness. Registration for the spring cycle of the 2025–2026 academic year has already commenced, with a substantial number of students from Yerevan and neighboring provinces having registered.
The Faculty of Economics and Management conducts its outreach activities with a commitment to openness, accessibility, and the cultivation of trust-based relationships. All programs and initiatives implemented within this framework pursue a central objective: to enhance applicants' awareness and ensure the continuous enhancement of the future student body's quality.
