On April 9, the Faculty of Economics and Management at Yerevan State University hosted a joint Armenian–Polish workshop-conference focusing on contemporary challenges in sustainable management, the digital economy, and environmental issues.
The event was organized by the YSU Faculty of Economics and Management in cooperation with the Scientific Society for Organization and Management of Poland (TNOiK) and the Armenian–Polish Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The one-day conference, titled "Challenges of Modern Business: Polish–Armenian Exchange of Experience", aimed to promote academic dialogue, foster research collaboration, and facilitate the exchange of expertise between the academic communities of Armenia and Poland.
Welcoming the participants, Associate Professor Karlen Khachatryan, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management, expressed his gratitude to Professor Ewa Bojar, President of the Lublin branch of TNOiK, for the productive cooperation and for accepting the invitation to visit Armenia's leading university. He emphasized the importance of such initiatives in strengthening Armenian–Polish academic ties and advancing a collaborative research environment.
In her remarks, Professor Ewa Bojar thanked the organizers for the warm reception and underscored the importance of cooperation between Armenian and Polish scholars, particularly in addressing contemporary socio-economic challenges through joint research and the development of practical solutions.
The presentations covered a wide range of topics, including sustainable management and human resource development, digital transformation and cross-sector collaboration, organizational efficiency, as well as pressing environmental issues—particularly waste management and the reduction of food and electronic waste.
Speakers included Professor Barbara Mazur (Academy of Justice), Professor Agata Mesjasz-Lech (Czestochowa University of Technology), Dr Barbara Kozłowska (Lodz University of Technology), Associate Professor Hasmik Hovhannisyan, and PhD student Sargis Gevorgyan.
The conference was held in an interactive format, with active audience engagement contributing to in-depth and constructive discussions.
The event served as an important platform for expanding scientific cooperation, exchanging expertise, exploring new research directions, and further strengthening Armenian–Polish academic relations.
