The YSU Faculty of Economics and Management and auditing firm KPMG Armenia are continuing their joint educational initiatives as part of a broader partnership to enhance students' professional preparedness and ensure the effective integration of theoretical knowledge with practical experience.
Representatives of KPMG Armenia visited the YSU Faculty of Economics and Management. Within the framework of the visit, Harutyun Terzyan, Head of Deal Advisory at KPMG, an ACCA member and PhD in Economics, delivered a lecture on "Mergers and Acquisitions" to third-year students of the "Management" program.
During his lecture, Terzyan discussed recent developments in the field, M&A process management, transaction advisory specifics, and their strategic importance in modern economic trends. With more than 20 years of professional experience, he is widely regarded as one of Armenia's leading experts in the field.
During the meeting, Sona Martirosyan, Head of Human Resources, and Ani Gevorgyan, Senior Specialist at KPMG Armenia, presented the company's overall operations, organizational structure, key professional areas, and career development opportunities to students.
The session was held in an interactive format, with students actively engaging in the discussion and posing numerous questions to the company's representatives.
Vardan Aleksanyan, Deputy Dean and Head of the Office of the YSU Faculty of Economics and Management, commended the visit, noting that such initiatives serve as an important bridge between academic education and the business sector. He emphasized that they contribute to shaping a new generation of highly qualified professionals capable of meeting the evolving challenges of the labor market.
The parties reaffirmed the importance of continuing such engagements, highlighting that initiatives of this kind not only enhance students' practical skills but also strengthen ties between academia and the private sector, helping future professionals better adapt to the demands of the modern labor market.
