Knarik Vardanyan, Director of the YSU Legal Clinic, participated in the 12th conference of the European Network for Clinical Legal Education (ENCLE), held on June 15-16 at the University of Edinburgh School of Law in Edinburgh, Scotland. The conference was organized jointly with the International Journal of Clinical Legal Education (IJCLE).
The conference brought together specialists, lecturers, researchers and practicing lawyers in the field of clinical legal education from different countries to exchange expertise, discuss innovative teaching methods and explore new opportunities for cooperation.
The academic event provided an opportunity to learn about international experience in clinical legal education, take part in professional discussions and exchanges of ideas, and establish cooperation with representatives of legal clinics and educational institutions from different countries. The discussions focused on several issues related to the development of clinical legal education, the formation of students' practical skills and the improvement of the effectiveness of legal clinics.
The conference stood out for its interactive format. In addition to plenary sessions and keynote presentations, much of the program consisted of parallel thematic discussions and short presentations, enabling participants to engage in professional debates and share best practices.
The participation of the YSU Legal Clinic in the conference was made possible with the support of the Armenia office of the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law (RWI), whose continued cooperation plays an important role in the development of clinical legal education in Armenia and the presentation of Armenian experience on international professional platforms.
Participation in the conference was another important step toward expanding the YSU Legal Clinic's international cooperation, contributing to the establishment of new professional contacts, the study of advanced experience and the development of clinical legal education in Armenia.
