YSU Legal Laboratory operates in administrative building of Prosecutor General's Office
Within the framework of cooperation between Yerevan State University, the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Armenia, and the Armenian Bar Association, an academic unit of the university—the YSU Legal Laboratory—has been established and is currently operating in the administrative building of the Prosecutor General's Office.
The YSU Legal Laboratory serves as a professional, non-formal platform where, through joint efforts, professional discussions on relevant legal topics, practical work, seminars, and conferences are organized, as well as scientific research activities conducted.
Students of the YSU Faculty of Law have the opportunity to carry out research work at the laboratory. In addition, by participating in various academic discussions held at the laboratory and applying their knowledge in practice, they further develop their professional expertise.
Babken Harutyunyan, a fourth-year student at the Faculty of Law, who is undergoing his professional internship at the Prosecutor General's Office, regularly visits the Legal Laboratory. While gaining knowledge about the structure, functions, and operational specifics of the Prosecutor's Office, Babken also actively takes part in practical work.
"As part of our internship, we visit the YSU Legal Laboratory almost every day, where all the necessary conditions are provided to carry out the assignments given during our studies. The laboratory provides an opportunity to study our professional field in greater depth by offering the necessary theoretical literature, as well as serving as a platform for cooperation and active discussions with leading specialists in the field," the YSU student said.
The laboratory has a rich collection of professional literature and legal materials that are regularly expanded with new publications, contributing to the effective organization of educational and research activities.
In addition, within the scope of the laboratory's activities, it is planned to organize reciprocal visits between diaspora Armenian lawyers and students, thereby promoting the exchange of experiences and strengthening professional ties.
