YSU expands collaboration with Jawaharlal Nehru University
Yerevan State University Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan and the Vice-Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru University (India), Professor Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit, have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at developing educational and scientific ties, promoting the implementation of joint programs, and expanding academic mobility.
For YSU, the memorandum opens new opportunities for international collaboration, particularly by laying the foundation for a sustainable partnership with one of India's leading universities. This initiative will expand YSU's global cooperation network and enhance the university's visibility on international academic platforms.
This collaboration also provides a framework for launching joint scholarly research projects in areas of mutual interest and priority. A key focus is the enhancement of academic mobility through the exchange of lecturers, researchers, and students, fostering the exchange of educational and scholarly expertise and supporting the introduction of new methods.
The memorandum further envisions joint initiatives, such as conferences, public lectures, summer schools, and seminars, creating a new academic environment at YSU and providing additional opportunities for young scholars and students. At the same time, the partnership will support the development of human resources through the exchange of expertise in curriculum modernization, management, and quality assurance of educational programs.
YSU Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan highlighted the importance of the signed memorandum within the context of the university's internationalization policy, stating: "Expanding our network of international partners and establishing collaborations that deliver tangible benefits for our students, lecturers, and researchers is a top priority for YSU. The memorandum of understanding with Jawaharlal Nehru University opens new avenues for joint scholarly initiatives, academic mobility, and expertise exchange, contributing to the enhancement of YSU's global competitiveness."
The signed document provides a solid foundation for long-term collaboration and aims to promote the development of joint programs and the implementation of specific initiatives, serving the continuous advancement of YSU's educational and scholarly agenda.
