Armenia at the crossroads of social transformations and political repression during 1920–1935: lecture at YSU YSU History Museum hosted a lecture titled "Armenia in 1920-1935: Social and Political Atmosphere." The presentation provided a comprehensive overview of the socio-political events that took place during the first decade and a half following the establishment of Soviet rule in Armenia. According to the speaker, this period, preceding the Stalinist repressions, can be conventionally divided into three main phases: 1920–1921 — the era of War Communism; 1921–1927 — the period of the New Economic Policy; and 1928–1936 — the years of industrialization, collectivization, and cultural revolution.
