As part of the Jason program, from June 23 to July 18 of this year, intensive summer courses were held at the School of Modern Greek Language of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. The participating Armenian students recently received their certificates confirming their knowledge of the Greek language.
Eighteen high-achieving students from nine leading universities of Armenia, Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, and Kazakhstan took part in the remote intensive courses on modern Greek.
During the program, in addition to language instruction, students also attended lectures on Greek culture, and participated in virtual tours of museums and archaeological sites in Thessaloniki and Macedonia.
It is important to highlight that since 2000, Yerevan State University has been cooperating with the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki within the framework of the Jason Program, which provides students the opportunity to take part in month-long and eight-month courses dedicated to the Greek language and culture.
