Professor Spyros Kiosses, Head of the Department of Language and Intercultural Studies at the University of Thessaly of the Hellenic Republic, visited the YSU Research Center-Library of Greek Studies.
During his visit, Professor Kiosses delivered lectures on Greek literature and the Greek language for students of the Greek Studies Center, as well as for bachelor's and master's students of the Faculty of Russian Philology who specialize in Greek studies. He presented the historical stages of the development of Greek literature, Greek authors, and the semantic particularities of their works. Of special importance and interest to the students was his lecture on common mistakes and linguistic deviations frequently encountered in the Greek language.
In addition to the lectures, seminars were held at the YSU Center for Greek Studies, during which participants discussed methodologies for teaching Greek. Through practical exercises, they examined common mistakes and read excerpts from the works of Armenian and Greek authors, carrying out comparative analyses.
