A special open class-seminar dedicated to Christmas and New Year was held at the Research Center-Library of Greek Studies.
During the seminar, Greek educator Michalis Serepetsis delivered a detailed presentation on Greece's Christmas traditions, customs, and rituals, while students drew parallels between Greek and Armenian Christmas and New Year traditions.
At the conclusion of the event, students sang festive songs and cut the traditional Greek vasilopita, symbolizing the beginning of the new year. The coin hidden inside the cake is believed to bring good fortune to the person who finds it.
Events of this nature not only foster mutual recognition of cultural values but also play an important role in promoting bilateral development between countries and cultures.
