YSU Faculty of History hosted a special event to welcome first-year students of both bachelor's and master's programs and to mark the start of the new academic year.
On the occasion of the Day of Knowledge and Schooling, the Dean of the Faculty of History, Ph.D. in History, Associate Professor Mkhitar Gabrielyan, congratulated the students and welcomed them to the faculty. In his speech, the dean emphasized:
"The fields of study you have chosen are more important today than ever. Throughout its rich history, our faculty has always been one of the pillars that has shaped the core of our state and society. In the coming years, you will have the opportunity to acquire the skills necessary to contribute to that foundation.
Your primary mission is to study and gain professional expertise. The Faculty of History is fully committed to supporting you in every possible way so that, upon completing your studies, you are able to move forward on your professional path with greater confidence and responsibility."
During the event, first-year students were provided with an overview of the academic programs, the fundamental principles of study, as well as the modern methodologies and digital tools applied in the educational process.
The event was also attended by heads of various chairs and academic programs, as well as representatives of the faculty's academic and administrative staff.
