YSU awards certificates to volunteers of the inaugural Alumni Forum
A meeting dedicated to appreciating the contributions of the active volunteers of the first YSU Alumni Forum and establishing feedback took place in YSU Academic Council Session Hall. The purpose of the event was to summarize the forum’s organizational process, evaluate the input of volunteers, and discuss the challenges they faced during the two-day event.

YSU Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, welcoming the participants and emphasizing the importance of volunteering in students’ educational and professional development, stated:

"Participation in YSU Alumni Forum is a valuable experience for any student. Volunteering often marks the first step on a career path. Such experience is highly appreciated not only in the university environment but also in international organizations. I am convinced that your courage and initiative will open new opportunities in the future."
The rector noted that the Alumni Forum received considerable attention and the number of applicants eager to participate in the discussions exceeded expectations:
"Due to limited slots, not all interested individuals had the chance to attend. We strived to ensure a diverse and inclusive environment by involving alumni who have achieved success across various fields."
YSU Vice-Rector for Development and Innovation Mikayel Hovhannisyan highlighted the importance of continued student involvement in university initiatives:
"I am confident that many of the students present here today will become the speakers, moderators, and organizers of future panel discussions. I would like to thank all those who worked tirelessly for months to bring this forum to life."

He added that such experiences not only develop organizational skills but also shape key competencies in decision-making, responsibility, and teamwork:
"It is crucial that this is not just participation for you, but a true responsibility. The university strives to create an environment where students not only acquire knowledge, but also grow into active citizens, collaborators, and leaders."
During the Q&A session, students shared both successful experiences and identified challenges, offering suggestions and ideas to improve the organization of similar future events.
At the end of the meeting, Hovhannes Hovhannisyan and Mikayel Hovhannisyan expressed their gratitude to the volunteers and presented them with certificates, recognizing their essential role in the success of the two-day forum.
