From March 23 to 27, the Faculty of Economics and Management at Yerevan State University hosted Associate Professor Elena Valery Kulchitskaya, PhD in Economics, from the Department of Management and Socio-Economic Planning Processes at the Faculty of Economics, Saint Petersburg State University. The visit played an important role in developing and deepening cooperation between the two institutions.
During her visit, Elena Kulchitskaya met with Associate Professor Karlen Khachatryan, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management, to discuss potential avenues for collaboration, including joint scientific research, the development of educational programs, and new formats for exchanging academic experience.
Karlen Khachatryan emphasized the faculty's commitment to expanding international cooperation to foster an open, collaborative, and knowledge-sharing academic environment. He noted that partnerships with foreign colleagues often evolve into long-term, productive institutional collaborations, with the cooperation with Elena Kulchitskaya serving as a successful example. The dean expressed his gratitude to the visiting scholar for her contribution to advancing this partnership. During the visit, Kulchitskaya also presented Dean Khachatryan with a book sent by the dean of the Faculty of Economics at Saint Petersburg State University.
As part of the collaboration, Kulchitskaya delivered a presentation at a faculty scientific seminar, sharing the results of research conducted jointly with Armenian colleagues and highlighting the scientific and practical significance of the work. Notably, this marked her second visit to the faculty, reflecting not only continuity but also strong mutual trust and a solid foundation for partnership.
Kulchitskaya also conducted lectures for bachelor's students. Third-year students in the "Management" program attended a lecture on "Methods for Evaluating the Effectiveness of Managerial Decisions", and students in the "Finance" program participated in a lecture on "The Consumer Journey". The lectures were distinguished by their practical focus and interactive approach.
During the course of the visit, the two faculties reached agreements to further strengthen and expand the ongoing cooperation between the Faculty of Economics and Management at YSU and the Faculty of Economics at Saint Petersburg State University.
