Democracy, human rights, security: DeHuRiS project launched at YSU The "Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence in European Studies: Democracy, Human Rights and Security- DeHuRiS" project has been officially launched at Yerevan State University. It will be implemented within the framework of the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet program. The aim of the program is to place special emphasis on European integration, the protection of democracy and human rights, and security issues.
New opportunities for advancing continuing education at YSU Yerevan State University and the Armenian office of DVV International, the Institute for International Cooperation of the German Adult Education Association, have signed a memorandum of understanding with the view to promoting the development of the adult education and continuing education system through collaborative programs.

YSU student shares Armenian traditions while gaining knowledge and making new friends at Dunarea de Jos University YSU student Liana Aleksanyan returned to Armenia impressed after spending one semester studying at Dunărea de Jos University in Galați, Romania, through the Erasmus+ program. Her experience combined acquiring rich knowledge with participating in cultural events, during which she also presented Armenia’s history and cultural heritage.
Armenian folk wisdom shared with the world through Dora Sakayan’s trilingual collections of proverbs A presentation of the three bilingual proverb collections by the renowned linguist, Armenian studies scholar, translator, and Professor at McGill University, Dora Sakayan, took place at Yerevan State University. Her books, Armenian Proverbs in English Translation, 2500 Armenische Sprichwörter in deutscher Übersetzung, and 2500 Proverbes Arméniens traduits en français (in Armenian-English, Armenian-German, and Armenian-French), offer readers an opportunity to explore the depth, diversity, and linguistic features of Armenian proverbs.

New educational bridges: New auditorium opened at YSU with the support of Embassy of Dominican Republic in Armenia A solemn opening ceremony was held for the newly renovated auditorium at the Faculty of European Languages and Communication, Yerevan State University, supported by the Embassy of the Dominican Republic in Armenia. This newly inaugurated auditorium is designed for the advanced teaching of Spanish and aims to promote the spread of Ibero-American culture at YSU.
ASIC Design & Verification Lab opened at YSU with support from Grovf company The grand opening ceremony marked the launch of a newly renovated lab equipped with state-of-the-art technology at YSU Institute of Physics. The lab, renovated with the support of Grovf company, will provide students with the opportunity to not only deepen their theoretical knowledge but also acquire and develop practical skills.
Images of St. Gregory the Illuminator in Armenian-Romanian icon painting: Article by YSU researcher published in a prestigious international journal Armenian communities of Romania have a rich cultural heritage in iconography. Particularly valuable are the icon paintings created by Romanian-Armenian masters, both for their style and iconography. Seyranush Manukyan, Associate Professor at the Chair of Armenian Art History and Theory at YSU Faculty of History, and her PhD student Shoghakat Devrikyan have studied the icons of St. Gregory the Illuminator in Armenian-Romanian iconography, which were created between the 16th and 19th centuries. Their article on this topic has been published in the internationally renowned journal "Vestnik of St. Petersburg University".
