"Whenever I said, 'When I grow up, I’ll protect you, 'they would reply, 'You’re too little,'" she recalls, reflecting on her childhood and early dreams. New achievements at 57th International Chemistry Olympiad The 57th International Chemistry Olympiad, held in Dubai, became yet another platform for success for Armenian students. The team representing Armenia earned one silver medal and three letters of commendation in the competition. The Armenian team was led by YSU Andranik Davinyan, a lecturer at Yerevan State University, and Artyom Petrosyan, a master’s student at YSU Faculty of Chemistry.
New startup aims to digitize the evaluation of faculty extracurricular activities A team from YSU Business Incubator has developed an electronic system for evaluating the extracurricular activities of faculty members. This innovative startup aims to digitize the process of analyzing and measuring the effectiveness of academic staff’s professional activities beyond the classroom. The system is currently being piloted at YSU Faculty of Economics and Management.
Second annual Friends of YSU Foundation event held to unite YSU alumni community’s potential On July 17, 2025, the Friends of Yerevan State University (FoYSU) Foundation held its Second Annual Gala Dinner in Los Angeles to celebrate the achievements of Armenia’s alma mater and showcase the Foundation’s activities.
New project to enhance public participation in decision-making processes The project titled "Research Laboratory on Social and Institutional Changes", co-led by Sona Balasanyan, a researcher at the Applied Sociology Research Laboratory, YSU Faculty of Sociology, has received funding through the "Establishment of Remote Laboratories Program–2025" competition announced by the Higher Education and Science Committee of MoESCS RA. The project aims to develop a methodological and analytical framework focused on the thorough study of social policies, public participation, and institutional trust using sociological approaches.
Results of YSU bachelor’s full-time admission published The results of the main (1st and 2nd) admission phase for Yerevan State University’s full-time bachelor’s programs (for the 2025–2026 academic year, both tuition-free and tuition-based) have been published.

"Who wants to earn $100,000 from one deal?" — businessman Gevorg Safaryan’s question to YSU students Gevorg Safaryan, CEO of Earlyone and Lime Tech, and a member of the Board of the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises (UATE), shared his professional journey with students during the "Economy and Society" section of YSU Alumni Forum. He emphasized how ideas, even with minimal resources, can be turned into a real business, and posed a direct question to students: "Who wants to earn $100,000 from one deal?"
