YSU expands collaboration with Jawaharlal Nehru University Yerevan State University Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan and the Vice-Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru University (India), Professor Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit, have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at developing educational and scientific ties, promoting the implementation of joint programs, and expanding academic mobility.

Students do not want AI to replace human instructors in the future — YSU Associate Professor Gayane Tovmasyan Sixty percent of students frequently use digital technologies during their studies, while 18.5% use them constantly, according to a study conducted by Gayane Tovmasyan, Associate Professor in the Chair of Theology and Armenian Church History at Yerevan State University. The research, carried out at four state universities in Armenia, found that higher education institutions should adopt new AI tools to prepare better-trained specialists capable of managing the future development of digital and AI technologies.

International Conference "Post-Soviet Memory in Times of Crises and Speculations" commences at YSU The annual third conference of the PoSoCoMeS (Post-Soviet and Comparative Memory Studies) Working Group of the International Memory Studies Association commenced at the Academic Council Hall of Yerevan State University under the theme "Post-Soviet Memory in Times of Crises and Speculations". The conference aims to explore the complex, multilayered, and sometimes contradictory processes of shaping the memory of the communist and socialist past across Eurasia.
Study of medicinal plants in Armenia aimed at targeting drug resistance: YSU PhD candidate to visit University of Regensburg Svetlana Hovhannisyan, PhD candidate and junior researcher at the YSU Research Institute of Biology, will undergo a three-month training at the University of Regensburg, Germany. At the Laboratory for Experimental Trauma Surgery, Department of Trauma Surgery, University Hospital Regensburg, she will investigate methods to enhance the efficacy of antibiotics using phytochemicals derived from medicinal plants in Armenia.
Memorandum signed at YSU to promote development of state language policy A memorandum of cooperation was signed at Yerevan State University between the university and the RA MoESCS Language Committee. The memorandum aims to enhance academic and educational levels, strengthen collaborative ties, and support the development and implementation of a unified state language policy. Within the framework of this cooperation, various programs and initiatives are planned, including targeted projects aimed at promoting the vitality of the Armenian language.
From master's program to international partnership: Development vision of Demographic Research Center discussed A meeting was held at Yerevan State University dedicated to the future plans and development priorities of the YSU Demographic Research Center. The discussion addressed Armenia's demographic challenges, opportunities for advancing research activities, and the enhancement of the center's role in public policy formulation. Particular emphasis was placed on expanding cooperation with academic and governmental institutions, as well as with international partners.
